Despite this there is, of course, absolutely no doubt that researchers have every right to explore the intellectual space of theory of economy where up to now there is merely some thin air of game theory and abstract mathematical modelling or of collected anecdotal evidence mostly from past centuries. Insight into limited snippets of chains of causality might be the fruit of such work. And, maybe the crisis of the current system of IP law is much more grave as some practitioners are ready to admit. However, nevertheless it might well be perilous if political pressure groups are allowed to use at nominal value overbroad interpretation of such scholarly work as a tool for pressing their political agendas.
